Sport

Sport is undoubtedly the main focus of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. There are four exciting projects currently underway in the South East to increase engagement and highlight the benefits of being involved in sport. Click on the project titles for more information.

Sport Unlimited - is an innovative new youth sports programme which cascades funding to local communities via the county sports partnerships network.

South East Student Ambassadors - This is a project to identify 207 international students, one from each Olympic and Paralympic country in the world, to act as an Ambassador for the South East region as the region prepares for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Step into Sport - focuses on young people aged 14 to 19 years and has been set up to provide a pathway of leadership and volunteering. It aims to train, support and deploy young people and adults into appropriate, safe and rewarding sports leadership and volunteering activity.

Adizones - adidas is a tier one sponsor of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. adidas has announced the creation of giant multi-sport outdoor venues called ‘adiZones’ has part of a £1m legacy initiative to support the brand’s domestic top-tier sponsorship of the London 2012 Olympics.
