The London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games aims to be the best ever. Central to the realisation of this ambition is the delivery of the best ever volunteering programme. It is anticipated that up to 70,000 volunteers will be engaged during the Games, in over 3,000 different roles, bringing their skill, commitment and enthusiasm to bear to deliver an unforgettable experience for athletes, officials and spectators alike.
The South East region aims to use the inspiration of voluteering at the 2012 Games to create a long lasting benefit of people volunteering in their own communites.
If you are one of the many people in the South East who have registered to be considered as a London 2012 volunteer, why not consider doing some volunteering in your own community? It may not get you preferential treatment for the 2012 Games, but it will give you exciting experiences and it will be good fun!
If you are not currently in education, employment or training, you could be eligible for the Personal Best programme, which would guarantee you an interview to be a volunteer at the 2012 Games. Click here to find out more
