Still time to apply for Young Games Maker roles!

Still time to apply for Young Games Maker roles!

We are extending the application deadline for those Young Games Maker roles where opportunities are still available.  If you are still considering putting forward a team of 16–18 year olds, or would like to submit additional teams, you now have until midnight on Monday 7 November to apply.

Following feedback from several schools and organisations, given the recent school half term, we hope this will give you time to gather the information you need to make an application.

Opportunities in the following teams are still available:

-          For young people interested in Football, Paralympic Sailing, Mountain Biking, Wheelchair Fencing, Wheelchair Table Tennis, Powerlifting or Boccia

– or in pursuing a career in Technology or sporting events – we have roles in our Results team (Technology) as Athlete Result distributors at venues where these sports are being played

The Paralympic Games run from 28 August – 9 September.  If you’re applying for these roles, please ensure that you have permission for students to be out of school to fulfil their role during this time.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that will give Young Games Makers the chance to play their part in delivering world class events that people will never forget.  They will take away memories and experiences that will last a lifetime; new skills that will be invaluable across a range of situations; and gain a real sense of pride and achievement.
