The Olympic Village will provide accommodation for athletes and officials during the Games. The London Organisers will be running a free Home stay programme for athlete families in 2012. Further details will be released in 2011. At this stage they have no plans to offer a fee paying service to spectators.

Various letting agencies in the region will be willing to accept your house as a rental property for a short period during the 2012 Games, but we can take no responsibility for any such arrangements.

Many of the commercial opportunities for companies in association with the London 2012 Games are advertised on the CompeteFor website. CompeteFor is a free service that enables businesses to compete for contract opportunities linked to the London 2012 Games and other major public and private sector buying organisations.

With a particular focus on supply chain opportunities, CompeteFor acts as a brokerage service, matching buyers with potential suppliers. It also facilitates access to focused business support, through the national Business Link network, helping to boost the long–term competitiveness of your business.

To date, 17 companies based in the South East have become Tier one suppliers to the Games through the Compete For scheme.

The London 2012 Games volunteer recruitment process for Games Makers ended 27^th October 2010.. Up to 70,000 volunteers will be needed to help deliver the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games in 2012.

There will be a variety of roles to be filled in areas such as sport, technology, transport and accreditation services. There are plenty of other ways to get involved. Why not become a Trailblazer volunteer, working one day a week performing various administrative duties in one of the LOCOG departments? Games Makers are required to be 18 or over, but a young Games Maker scheme for under 18s will be announced in summer 2011.

Tickets for London 2012 will go on sale in March 2011 with details of how to purchase them announced nearer the time. Currently, you are able to register your interest in tickets through the London 2012 Games website.

This will mean you are kept up to date regarding ticketing news and other exciting events and offers. More then nine million tickets will be made available and prices have recently been announced, starting from £20. Special prices are available for young people and seniors.

Young people who are 16 years old or younger (at 27 July 2012) will pay their age for a ticket. Seniors aged 60 and over (at 27 July 2012) will pay £16. These 'pay your age' ticket prices and senior ticket prices will be available in more than 200 sessions. Paralympic Games ticket prices will be announced in 2011. Spectators will be able to see some events, such as the Road Cycling, Triathlon and Marathon, for free.
